Maker's Notes
It began with how to carry the journal. How to carry it well, without a separate case. I found myself wondering how to keep it from getting lost at the bottom of a bag or needing its own sleeve.
The Drift Tote became the answer – a pocket sized to fit the journal exactly, everything else alongside. Something simple but considered. The kind of bag you look forward to reaching for.
On Stillness
The phrases on the webbing came from a practice of stillness. Noting mundane things as a way to quiet internal chatter. ‘Ink settling’, ‘Pollen falling’. Observations that became verses.
On Variation
These phrases are silkscreened by hand. At this type size, the process resists control. Letters shift, edges soften. Each one is slightly different.
